One of my CUWP colleagues, Andrea R., had previously said something about having her students write something in sidewalk chalk. I decided to try that with the six word memoirs -- I thought they turned out great. Here are some:

Denee,
You just made my night! I'm Alyssa, an intern from SMITH Magazine, and I spend a lot of time searching the web to find cool Six-Word Memoir projects--and having your students write their memoirs in sidewalk chalk is a simple idea but something I hadn't seen before.
Thanks for using Six-Word Memoirs in your class. Do you encourage your students to submit their memoirs to our site, smithmag.net or smithteens.com? They could be featured in an upcoming book if they do.
Also, SMITH recently released teachers' guides for using the memoirs in class. You can take a look at them here: http://www.smithmag.net/sixwordbook/2010/10/15/six-word-memoirs-the-teachers-guides/
Thanks again!
Alyssa
This is wonderful -- something I had not even thought about -- Chalk!
Thanks for sharing and getting me thinking ..

To tell the truth, your publishing is amazing. I like the one saying that our life is short so enjoy it. There are a lot of interesting things to make with chalk. I'm so thankful for sharing! Best regards, paper editing service - edit-ing.services
